Maureen Bufalino, regional president of Omega Bank, was named the 20th recipient of the chamber's ATHENA Award, presented to women who excel in business, community service, and assistance to other women. Kristopher Jones, president and founder of The Pepperjam Network in Wilkes-Barre, was given the Great Valley Young Entrepreneur Award. The business chamber also presented numerous Pride of Place Awards. Omega Bank won for interior design while Heritage House won for environmental enhancement. Vision Imaging in Kingston won a Pride of Place Award for new construction, while Kingston's Central Firehouse won a community award. A restoration award was given to Somerville Construction for a Wyoming Avenue property and a new, "I Believe Award," was given to William Vinsko and Associates for its Wilkes-Barre office building. A separate Business and Industry/Education Partnership Award was given to Mountain Productions and Wilkes-Barre Area Vocational Technical Co-Op Department. | More News... |
